Install masonry fixing screws straight into brick, block, concrete or stone. No plug is required for these heavy duty masonry fixings.

These direct fixing screws cut their own thread into pre-drilled holes. They provide a secure hold for window and door frames across the UK market.

Avoid plastic plugs that work loose. These 7.5 mm masonry screws have a 7.5mm diameter for strength. They outperform basic brick wall fixings today.

Lengths range from 62mm masonry screws to 202mm. Packs range from 6 to 100 for any professional trade project size you may need.

Made in the UK by Rapierstar, the StarFix FFT is the best fixing for brick wall installations we have used for over 30 years of experience.

Why choose these masonry fixing screws?

The patented Starform thread is a spaced hi-lo design. High threads cut masonry while low threads compact loose material for a superior grip.

This design requires 30% less drive-in torque than plain thread concrete screws. This makes every installation faster and more efficient now.

Unlike generic brick wall screw fixings, these allow for removal without stripping. This makes them ideal for all professional trade installers.

What it fixes into

These masonry wall fixings work in concrete, solid brick, and sand-lime brick. They also suit pumice, honeycomb brick and natural stone materials.

They securely fasten timber, facades, and metal panels. This versatility makes them the go-to choice for various construction tasks every day.

What hole to drill

Use a 6.0mm or 6.5mm masonry drill. For dense substrates, 6.5mm is ideal. Careful drilling prevents oversized holes from forming too quickly.

Precision is key. Oversized holes are why some 6mm masonry screws fail to grip the substrate securely enough to hold the heavy frames well.

How deep it needs to go in

Base material Minimum embedment Pull-out resistance
Engineering brick 40mm 10.20 kN
Clay brick 45mm 4.55 kN
Concrete block 50mm 6.91 kN
Medium density aerated block 60mm 3.35 kN

Manufacturer test data is indicative. Please apply your own safety factor for structural masonry to ensure maximum safety for the build site.

How many you will need

For frames, place one fixing within 150mm of corners, then every 600mm. Tighten to 8–12Nm to ensure a firm and lasting structural grip now.

Avoid over-tightening. Excessive force can strip the thread of these self tapping screws and compromise the overall structural hold of frames.

The head and the drive

These countersunk masonry screws feature a truncated head with locking ribs. They pull flush into uPVC or timber frames with total ease today.

The T30 star drive prevents rounding. Whether using 50mm masonry screws or a masonry torx frame fixing screw, the tool always stays seated.

Where you can use it

Zinc yellow trivalent passivation suits sheltered work. For permanently wet positions, we recommend high grade stainless steel screws instead.

These outperform m10 masonry bolts or 250mm masonry bolts in lightweight apps. They suit permanent or temporary construction work projects.

Sizes include 70mm masonry screws, 80mm masonry screws, 100mm masonry screws, 120mm masonry screws, 150mm masonry screws, and 180mm masonry screws.

We also offer 200mm masonry screws. For larger projects, consider masonry bolts 150mm or 200mm masonry bolts for higher load capacities now.
