uPVC Weather Bar End Caps for Door Thresholds UK

uPVC weather bar end caps, as used on Solidor composite doors, Deceuninck uPVC weather bars and many other makes.

Supplied in pairs — one left hand and one right hand.

What they do

A weather bar is an open extrusion. Left uncapped, the ends take in water, grit and insects, and the bare cut end shows on the face of the door. A pair of end caps closes both ends off, keeps the channel clear and finishes the bar so it reads as part of the door rather than an afterthought.

They are also the part that goes first. If the bar itself is sound but the ends are cracked, discoloured or missing altogether, a pair of caps is all you need — there is no reason to replace the whole bar.

Fitting

Make sure the ends of the bar are clean and dry first. Then hold each cap in place with a drop of superglue — also available in our store — or a bead of silicone if you would rather be able to take them off again later.

No drilling and no special tools. It is a two minute job at each end.
